Summary

Insite Cladding & Roofing recently completed a £1.9m high-specification roof refurbishment at the Livingston Designer Outlet for GlobalMutual, working in close partnership with project managers Hollis. Executed over a 20-week duration, the project required a sophisticated dual-system approach to upgrade 7,400 m² of roofing above a live, high-traffic retail environment.

Led by David Munro, Scott Milliken, and Douglas Park, the team conducted a 4,000 m² strip and replacement utilising a Bauder BTRS felt system, alongside a 3,400 m² Bauder PU liquid three-coat overlay. The comprehensive upgrade, backed by a 25-year guarantee, also involved the careful removal and reinstatement of extensive M&E rooftop plant using non-penetrative "Big Foot" support systems, delivered in collaboration with BPS and Easter Electrical.

This seamless delivery showcased our integrated service model, utilising internal support from Insite 360 and sustainable waste management from Site Waste Solutions. Supported by Horizon Crane and Bauder's technical guidance, the team successfully future-proofed the infrastructure of one of Scotland’s premier retail destinations.
