Summary

Insite Contracts recently completed a comprehensive 10-week internal refurbishment for Cake Décor at their Cumbernauld headquarters. Executed within a fully operational environment, the modernization program required meticulous logistical planning to ensure seamless business continuity.

Led by Brian Laidlaw, Stewart Dunlop, and Gordon Scott, alongside Architect Paul Nicol and Project Manager Kevin Miller, the project successfully upgraded essential staff welfare facilities and reimagined key aesthetic circulation areas.

The fit-out featured a complete overhaul of the ground-floor washrooms with high-durability IPS fitments and a striking redesign of the first-floor canteen to provide a contemporary breakout space. In the reception and circulation zones, the team installed new MF ceilings, overlined perimeter blockwork, and integrated specialized acoustic ceiling baffles and wall panels to manage ambient noise. A brand-new tea preparation area with custom display shelving was also added to the first-floor circulation space.

This high-specification finish was delivered in partnership with our trusted supply chain, including Brian Hendry, Excel Interiors, Maple Joiners, Infinity Contracts, CL Flooring, Saxen, Cosmos, Intelligent Electrical, Parkways, and SE Commercial. The completed transformation provides Cake Décor with a bright, acoustically balanced workspace designed to support staff wellbeing and reflect the brand's vibrant creativity.
