In 2019, following the Grenfell Fire, the following amendments were made to the UK’s Building Regulations titled ‘Approved Document B’ (England and Wales) and the ‘Technical Handbooks’ (Scotland).
At Insite Cladding & Roofing, as a result of regulations, we been actively involved in testing for our clients processes that are in line with DCLG/BRE guidelines regarding certain Aluminium Composite Materials (ACM) being identified as non-compliant with fire and building regulations.
Cladding Testing, Removal & Replacement
We specialise in Refurbishment Flat Roof Projects. We are approved installers for many of the industries leading manufacturer’s such as Bauder, Moy Materials, Icopal, IKO, Giromax and Sika Liquid Plastics.
We carry out works using the following Flat Roofing Products; Felt, Single Ply Membrane, Cut Edge Corrosion and Liquid Coating Systems.

Refurbishment Rainscreen
Insite Cladding & Roofing specialise in refurbishment of Existing Rainscreen Cladding Systems, being a relatively new ‘Sector’ in the Cladding Industry.
We carry out full Rainscreen Replacements, Fire / Cavity Barrier Installations and any remedials that the system may require. On behalf of the Clients, we carry out intrusive Surveys of Existing Rainscreen Systems to determine what the Build Up is and propose recommendations to get the system in line with Current Building and Fire Regulation
We specialise in Refurbishment Metal Sheeting and Cladding projects. We are approved installers for many of the industries leading manufacturer’s such as Kingspan Tata Steel EuroCLAD and Joriside.
We carry out refurbishment works that include Overclading of Existing Metal / Asbestos Cement Sheeting, Top Skin Replacement of Existing Built Up Metal Roof Systems and we are also approved to carry out Non-Licensed Asbestos Removal Works.
Metal Sheeting & Cladding
Insite Cladding & Roofing carry out Non Licensed Asbestos Removal with all our operatives Category B Approved. This can be works in relation to Roofing/Cladding be it Overclad, Strip and Re-Sheet or Coating the Existing Asbestos.
We work in conjunction with our sister company Site Waste Solutions Ltd to give the Client the best method of Re-Roofing there premises that has Asbestos Cement Sheets.
Stripping Asbestos Cement Roofs & Walls
As we are involved in refurbishment of Existing Industrial Units we carry out a lot of Gutter Re-Lining projects. While the rest of the Roof may be in prime condition, a lack of maintenance can cause significant problems with the Gutters.
This results in Gutters needing replaced / relined prior to a full Roof Replacement. We recommend the following Manufacturer’s; Weatherfast and FAB24.
Gutter Lining
As we are involved in refurbishment of Existing Industrial Units we carry out a lot of Rooflight Replacement projects. While the Roof Sheets may be in prime condition, the Rooflight Element degrades significantly quicker than the External Sheets.
This results in Rooflights needing replaced prior to a full Roof Replacement. We are approved installers of the following manufacturer’s – Brett Martin Daylight Systems and Filon.
