When tackling damp and mould in social housing, eradicating the immediate hazard is only the first step. Returning a property to a safe, high-quality standard, swiftly and without the friction of multi-contractor delays, is what truly delivers on the promise of Awaab’s Law.

As we approach the Scottish Construction and Housing Summit at the SEC in Glasgow this Thursday, 22nd October, we are shining a spotlight on the divisions driving our end-to-end compliance framework. Today, the focus is on Insite 360, led by Director Julie Fergus, and the critical role this division plays in structural turnaround, phased reinstatement, and futureproofing.

The Missing Link in Mould Remediation

One of the greatest challenges Property and Estate Managers face during remedial works is operational fragmentation. Too often, the contractor who removes the mould is not the contractor who fixes the walls, reinstates the kitchen, or validates the property's safety. This leads to costly delays, extended decants, and frustrated residents.

Under the leadership of Julie Fergus, Insite 360 eliminates these silos. Working hand-in-hand with Insite Specialist Services, Julie and her team ensure that the moment a property is safely decontaminated, the structural reinstatement process begins seamlessly.

The Insite 360 Approach: Reinstatement & Futureproofing

At Stand 40, Julie will be discussing exactly how Insite 360 manages the transition from immediate mitigation to long-term structural safety. The division's operational works focus on four critical stages:

  • Certification: Ensuring all primary decontamination works are formally certified before rebuilding begins, providing a clear compliance trail.

  • Rapid Reinstatement: Executing controlled drying and high-quality internal refurbishment to return homes to full operational standard, minimising disruption to the tenant.

  • Independent Validation: Providing optional validation to guarantee the environment is stable, safe, and fully compliant.

  • Protect and Educate: Supporting the handover process to ensure both housing providers and tenants understand how to maintain the newly restored environment.

By overseeing this seamless handover, Julie and the Insite 360 team ensure that housing providers aren't just ticking a compliance box, they are actively protecting their assets and improving the quality of life for their tenants.
